Back to Tribal Journey Index We would spread out across open water.
Sometimes, lead canoes were up to a mile away. We looked small and venerable from a distance but we knew the true size of each canoe and the strength of each crew pulling it through the water.
We will share memories with those who pulled with us. We will take home stories of how each of us came to Victoria. We will leave with knowledge that we have a strong and proud heritage.
