A Odyssey from Port
Hardy to Victoria The inner passage waterway leading to Victoria will test the stamina and endurance of those up to the challenge. There will be some long hard days spent pulling through seemingly endless stretches of water. Those who have made the journey before say that they felt the presence of their ancestors and it helped them find strength to carry on. It is an inner journey as well as a traditional experience, one that culminates in an awakening and celebration. Joined by the VisionQuest Group and the Northern Canoes, the official 1997 Tribal Journey begins in the coastal community of Gwa'sala-Nakwaxdaxw on Northern Vancouver Island Tribal Journey - Inner Coast Nations Journey
